• Lap Simulation and Data Analysis
  From gearing selection to cornering balance to a fully modeled moving suspension, JRD can not only identify the most efficient way to improve an existing vehicle but also predict the performance of a car before it is even designed.

• Shock Rebuilds and Shock Dyno
  JRD offers Öhlins shock service, rebuilds, and optimization. We use a shock dyno that generates graphs displaying the force applied to the shock against its velocity and stroke length. This information helps diagnose issues or verify repairs and modifications to dampers.

• Tire Characterization
  Using track data and suspension measurements, JRD can derive a model of a tire’s performance. With a properly designed test plan—on a track, skid pad, or using existing data—JRD can calculate performance changes related to inflation pressure, temperature, suspension settings, and wear.

• CFD and Aero Mapping
  Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) acts as a virtual wind tunnel, simulating fluid flow inside a system or outside a body. For validation, track data is analyzed to determine the levels of drag and downforce generated on a car. By factoring in suspension changes, variations in aerodynamics due to ride height, pitch, and roll can be revealed.
